How do we pair?
Tap Pair with partner on the home screen. One of you generates a 6-digit code, the other enters it within 24 hours. The thread comes alive after both of you confirm.
Can I be paired with more than one person?
No. Tether is two-person by design. You can unpair and pair with someone new, but never two at the same time.
What happens if we unpair?
The couple's shared content moves into a 90-day archive. During that window, either of you can re-pair to restore everything. After 90 days, an automatic job permanently deletes the archive.
How do I cancel Premium?
On iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Tether → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tether → Cancel. Deleting the App or unpairing does not cancel a subscription.
One subscription covers both of us — how?
While either partner has an active Tether Premium subscription, both of you have Premium. There is no overlap billing; the App will tell the second person that they are already covered.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (Play Store → purchase → Refund). If the store has declined a refund you think we can help with, write to support@eswarden.com.
I want to export our memories.
Open Settings → Account → Export data. You'll get a ZIP containing your beads, whispers, capsules, pulses, mood history, and reunion plans in JSON, along with any photos and voice notes you have created.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Account → Delete account. We soft-delete for 7 days in case you change your mind, then permanently delete your profile. If you were paired, this also triggers the 90-day archive on the couple's shared content.
I'm worried my partner is using Tether to track or pressure me.
Your safety matters more than any streak. Open Settings → Couple → Unpair and you will be removed from the couple immediately. You can also report the account to support@eswarden.com. If you are in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services.
