One short page covering both privacy and terms for every Eswarden app — Streak Hunter, Tether, and Noctuary. By using an app, you agree to what’s below. We’ve kept it plain on purpose.
The short version
- We don’t sell your data, and we never run ads.
- We collect the minimum needed to run the app and sync it across your devices.
- You can export or delete everything from Settings → Account, any time.
- Subscriptions are optional, honest, and cancellable from your phone in two taps.
- Your private content (dreams, messages, notes) stays yours. We don’t read it.
Who we are
Eswarden is the studio behind these apps and the controller of the data they process. Reach us at hello@eswarden.com, or for data questions, privacy@eswarden.com.
What we collect
- Account — a sign-in (Apple, Google, or email), a display name, and basic preferences like timezone and theme. We never see your Apple or Google password.
- Your content — what you create in the app: streaks and notes (Streak Hunter), shared moments (Tether), or dreams and collages (Noctuary). Stored against your account so it syncs and survives a reinstall.
- Diagnostics — crash reports and coarse, anonymous usage counts so we can fix what breaks. Never your private text.
- Subscription state — whether a subscription is active, via Apple, Google, and RevenueCat. We never see your card number.
What we never do
No selling or renting your data. No ads or advertising identifiers. No reading your private free-text content. No precise location, contacts, calendars, or microphone access. No feeding your content into third-party AI training.
Where data is processed
We use Google Firebase (sign-in, storage, crash reports), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and the Apple App Store / Google Play (payments and sign-in). Noctuary additionally sends dream text to OpenAI, server-side, only to paint your collage. These providers may process data in the United States. If we add another, we’ll update this page first.
Export & delete
Open Settings → Account to export your data as a file, or delete your account. When you delete, data tied to your account is removed within 30 days (Tether keeps a short re-pair window for a couple’s shared data). Purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat follow their own retention.
Subscriptions, trials & refunds
- Each app has a free tier and an optional subscription. Current prices and trial lengths are shown in the app.
- Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel, at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel from Apple ID → Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies — we can’t charge or refund cards directly.
Using the apps
Please don’t use our apps to harass or surveil anyone, upload illegal content, abuse leaderboards, or break the law. Tether in particular only works with the genuine, freely-given consent of both partners — never use it to track someone without their knowledge. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live and to meet the App Store / Google Play minimum age.
Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you write or upload. You give us only the permission needed to host, sync, and display it back to you (or, in Tether, to your paired partner). That’s it.
Health & wellbeing
These are self-help and keepsake apps — not medical devices, and not a substitute for professional care. Streak Hunter helps you track recovery but doesn’t diagnose or treat. Noctuary reflects patterns in your dreams but never hands down a clinical “meaning.” If you’re struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional or a local helpline alongside the app.
As-is, and our limits
The apps are provided “as is.” We work hard to keep them reliable, but we can’t promise they’ll be perfect or never lose data — please keep your own export of anything you can’t bear to lose. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the past year (or USD 50, whichever is greater). Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Changes
If we change anything meaningful, we’ll show a notice in-app and update the date above. Continued use means you accept the update.
